How do your products work for different skin types?

In keeping with Ayurvedic principles, we formulate skincare to the physical properties of your skin, whether dry, sensitive or oily.

Do your products work for all skin types?

Absolutely. We formulate our products to meet everyone’s skincare needs by offering specific versions for each skin type.

Are your products clean and natural?

Yes—we use the highest quality natural ingredients, including full-spectrum essential oils, pure botanical extracts and high quality hemp derivatives.

We avoid all toxic fillers and unpronounceable chemicals, including sulfates, parabens, formaldehydes or formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, artificial fragrances and dyes.

What is the shelf life of your products?

When properly stored, all of our products will remain effective for two years after opening. As a rule of thumb, always remember that natural skin care products are best stored away from direct sunlight and in cool, dry areas.

Are your products lab tested?

Yes. We do extensive stability and microbial testing before our products are produced at our lab in British Columbia, Canada.

How should I test your products for skin sensitivities?

We recommend doing a patch test on your inner wrist, because the skin there is similar to the skin on your face. If you develop any signs of redness or irritation after 24 hours, stop using the product in question.

Can I use Urban Juve products if I’m pregnant or nursing?

Yes, these products are safe to use during pregnancy and nursing as there are no cannabis derivatives that are psychoactive. 

Will Urban Juve products get me high or appear on drug tests?

No, our products do not result in a recreational high nor does it show up on drug tests. None of our products contain CBD or THC.

Are your products cruelty free?

Yes! We never test on animals. And with the exception of the beeswax, all our ingredients are vegan.

Do Urban Juve products contain preservatives?

Yes, we carefully choose natural preservatives that preserve the line of our products without the use of harsh chemicals. 

Are your products gluten free?

All of our products contain gluten-free ingredients, although we are not officially certified gluten-free. 

What are the benefits of hemp root oil and how is it different from hemp seed oil?

Unlike hemp seed oil, there is evidence that hemp root oil is high in terpenes—compounds that can enhance natural absorption. That means hemp root oil can actually help the other active ingredients in our formulations to penetrate the skin. Hemp root oil also reduces the appearance of redness and puffiness, while soothing, smoothing and moisturizing. The result: healthy-looking, glowing skin.

Urban Juve’s proprietary hemp root oil is also rich in vitamins A and E, and contains trace amounts of potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc, calcium and phosphorus. Even better, it’s rich in antioxidants, which can help prevent or slow the signs of aging. Our hemp root oil works for all skin types. Because it moisturizes without clogging pores, hemp root oil is even beneficial for oily skin.

How are quality ingredients sourced?

Our formulations are restricted to the highest quality value of ingredients whether they are sourced from family farms or organic/fair trade/natural suppliers. We go through all the technical documents for each ingredient before buying the raw material which includes the COA, MSDS to identify the quality of the extraction process. 

Shipping & Returns

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! All products are available, with the exception of our sanitizer as it’s currently only approved by Health Canada. 

When will my order ship?

We usually process and ship all in-stock orders within 5-7 business days. For further details, please see our Delivery & Returns page

What do I do if my products arrive damaged?

If your package was damaged in shipment, save the box and products and notify us immediately by sending an email to support@urbanjuve.com. The carrier will pick up and inspect the damaged package, and the damaged items will be replaced.

How long does it take to process a return?

Once we receive your returned item(s) at our warehouse, the refund will appear on your statement within ten business days.
